Japan announces various sports and wellness events

Various sports and wellness events are being organized across Japan. In Kanagawa, the Shonan Sports & Wellness Festival 2026 is scheduled for October 12, 2026, at Kugenuma Beach Park. The free event aims to combine fitness, music, and food, featuring live performances by artists such as Eito and TEE.

In the marathon sector, the 18th Iwaki Sunshine Marathon has seen its 10km and 2km categories reach capacity shortly after registration opened. In Kagawa, the Kagawa Marathon 2027 is currently recruiting volunteers for its March 21, 2027, event, while the 79th Kagawa Marugame International Half Marathon has begun accepting runners for its February 2027 race.

Other upcoming activities include a DDT Pro-Wrestling event in Ome City on September 23, 2026, featuring wrestler HARASHIMA, and the Ajinomoto Stadium Run & Walk scheduled for December 6, 2026, in Tokyo.
