Harbin Institute of Technology students conduct cultural study in Guilin

Students from the Harbin Institute of Technology's Basic Department conducted a historical and cultural study tour in Guilin. The team visited the Dingshu Peak and Wangcheng scenic areas to study Ming Dynasty architecture and stone carvings.

During the practice, participants engaged in traditional rubbing techniques under the guidance of intangible cultural heritage practitioners. They also explored the Dongxi Alley historical and cultural district to study traditional residential elements such as wood carvings and gray plaster ridges. The program concluded with the design of cultural and creative products, including canvas bags and fridge magnets, based on local cultural elements like lacquerware patterns and round fans.
