Harburg residents demand relocation of Abrigado drug facility

Residents and parents in Harburg have held a demonstration calling for the relocation of the Abrigado drug assistance facility on Schwarzenberg. The demand follows several police operations and shootings in the area over recent months.

The Harburg District Assembly unanimously approved an emergency motion to expedite the relocation, with calls to move the facility as early as January. Organizers are also pursuing a citizens' initiative to prevent drug assistance centers from being located directly adjacent to schools, daycare centers, or playgrounds.
