Hard Rock Cafe closes in Copenhagen after 31 years

The Hard Rock Cafe located at Rådhuspladsen in Copenhagen has permanently closed. This marks the second time the brand has exited the city, following the closure of a previous location near Tivoli that opened in 1995. The Rådhuspladsen branch had been in operation since 2015.

The closure follows several years of financial losses for the Danish company behind the restaurant. Reports indicate a deficit of 8.7 million DKK in 2025, following an 18 million DKK loss the previous year. While the restaurant is closed, the associated Rock Shop is scheduled to remain open until November 8, 2026.
