Hardenberg to hold council meeting on public housing progress

The municipality of Hardenberg has scheduled a council information meeting for September 8 regarding public housing. This follows the implementation of the Housing Control Strengthening Act on July 1, 2026, which mandates that municipalities develop a public housing program.

The meeting will provide updates on the progress of the program based on the Principles Memorandum established in January 2026. Discussions will also cover the development of new policy rules and ordinances, as well as the potential use of a council working group to assist in the process.
