Hardik Pandya replaced by Suryansh Shedge for India A series
Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the India A squad for the upcoming three-match unofficial ODI series against Australia A due to a fresh injury setback. Pandya experienced discomfort in his right calf, and a subsequent MRI scan revealed mild intramedullary oedema, a condition consistent with right medial tibial stress syndrome.
Suryansh Shedge, a 23-year-old seam-bowling all-rounder, has been named as Pandya's replacement. Shedge, who was recovering from a quadriceps injury at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, has joined the squad in Puducherry. His inclusion means he will miss Mumbai's opening Ranji Trophy match against Chandigarh.
Ruturaj Gaikwad is set to lead the India A side, with Devdutt Padikkal serving as deputy. Additionally, middle-order batter Naman Dhir will miss the series to join India's T20I squad for the upcoming matches against the West Indies.
