Hardoi woman alleges husband bit off her nose during dispute

A 27-year-old woman named Sadhana has accused her husband, Deepak, of biting off her nose during a domestic dispute in the Sandi police station area of Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. Sadhana alleged that after she returned to the marital home following a two-month absence, her husband attacked her head and bit off her nose before throwing it into a drain. She further claimed her parents-in-law restrained her during the assault.

Police have detained Deepak for questioning. The victim was initially treated at the Sandi Community Health Centre and subsequently referred to Hardoi Medical College due to the severity of her injuries.

Conversely, the husband's family has provided a different account, alleging that Sadhana entered the home via a neighbor's roof and attempted to forcibly take their three children. The mother-in-law has made counter-allegations, claiming that Sadhana attacked Deepak's private parts during the altercation. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the conflicting statements.
