Actor Hardy Krüger Jr. underwent emergency surgery in Berlin after falling eleven steps down a staircase in his home during the night. The 58-year-old sustained a fracture to his right femoral neck after missing the top step in the dark.

Following the accident, Krüger was transported to the Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin, where surgeons stabilized the bone using a metal plate and a screw. The actor reported experiencing extreme pain and temporary loss of consciousness during the fall.

Due to the injury, the first block of his planned theater tour for the play ‘Der Sohn’ has been canceled. Krüger is now facing a recovery period of approximately twelve to three months of rehabilitation, expressing a strong desire to return to the stage once healed.
