Haredi political parties hold rallies and endorsements ahead of Israeli elections
Haredi political movements in Israel are mobilizing ahead of upcoming elections. At a campaign rally in Jerusalem, the HaTzibur HaHaredi party drew over 1,000 attendees at the Binyanei Ha’Uma convention center. Party Chairman Moti Leitner stated that the party aims to provide leadership that represents the working Haredi public and expressed confidence that the party will surpass the electoral threshold, citing recent polling momentum.
In a separate development, the Belzer Rebbe issued a directive through his gabbai, Rav Shimon Wolf Klein, calling on Belzer chassidim to support the United Torah Judaism party. The announcement emphasized that the election results are critical for protecting Torah institutions, such as yeshivos and kollelim, particularly amidst ongoing controversies regarding military enlistment for the Haredi community.
