Haris Rauf fined for ICC Code of Conduct breach

Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has been fined 20 percent of his match fee and issued an official reprimand for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during an ODI Tri-series match against England. The violation, categorized under Article 2.2 regarding conduct contrary to the spirit of the game, occurred during the 46th over of Pakistan’s run chase.

Following an appeal for a wide that was not signaled by umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid, Rauf engaged in a verbal altercation with England’s Will Jacks. During the exchange, Rauf raised his bat and brushed past the umpire. The incident was eventually de-escalated by Joe Root.

Rauf received one demerit point, bringing his total to five following his third offense within a 24-month period. This follows previous disciplinary actions taken during the 2025 Asia Cup. Additionally, England was fined 15 percent of its match fee for failing to maintain the required over rate.
