Haris Tabaković set for move from Hoffenheim to RB Salzburg

Bosnian striker Haris Tabaković, who spent the 2023‑24 season on loan at Borussia Mönchengladbach, is close to completing a permanent transfer from TSG Hoffenheim to Austrian club RB Salzburg. German reports say Salzburg is prepared to pay roughly €5 million for the 30‑year‑old forward, a rare fee for a player of his age.

The move is intended to give Tabaković regular playing time in a high‑profile league ahead of upcoming international tournaments, improving his chances of further Bosnia‑Herzegovina national team selection. Hoffenheim secured a fee after failing to meet Borussia’s financial demands, and the transfer will see Tabaković join the Red Bull project in Austria, where he is expected to feature in European competition.
