Harish Rawat calls ED raid on former OSD an electoral conspiracy

Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and Congress leader Harish Rawat has characterized the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid on his former Officer on Special Duty (OSD) as an electoral conspiracy. Rawat alleged that central agencies like the ED and CBI are being misused as tools to benefit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of upcoming elections.

Rawat questioned the timing of the investigation, noting that the case involves matters from approximately ten years ago. He argued that if a crime had occurred, the government should have acted much sooner rather than reviving the issue just before the election cycle. He further claimed that such agency actions have become a routine tactic to influence political outcomes.
