HarknianPad Brings Ocarina of Time to iPhone and iPad Natively
The classic Nintendo 64 game *The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time* can now run as a native iOS application thanks to HarknianPad, a port created by developer Kahris. The project recompiles the decompiled game code for Apple’s ARM64 architecture and uses the Metal graphics API, eliminating traditional console emulation.
The iPhone/iPad version supports higher resolutions, widescreen output and a stable 60 fps, with touch controls, Bluetooth controller input and optional keyboard‑mouse support. The build was aided by the AI model GPT‑5, which helped generate a compatibility layer allowing the C‑based code to run directly on iOS. Users must supply their own original ROM to launch the app, which is distributed via GitHub.
