Harlem’s Fashion Row invests $100,000 in Black designers

Harlem’s Fashion Row (HFR) launched the 19th Annual Fashion Show & Style Awards at The Glasshouse on September 8, marking the start of New York Fashion Week. The event focused on supporting Black designers and increasing representation within the fashion industry.

This year, the organization announced a $100,000 investment in emerging designers to support their talent and economic opportunities. Founder Brandice Daniel addressed the crowd, discussing the organization’s history, the challenges it has faced, and the importance of community support in sustaining its mission for nearly two decades.
