Harley-Davidson ends sales of X 350 and X 500 models in Japan
Harley-Davidson Japan has announced the immediate cessation of sales for the X 350 and X 500 motorcycle models in the Japanese market. The company stated the decision is purely strategic and not due to any technical defects or recalls. Only units currently in stock at authorized dealerships will be available for purchase.
These entry-level models were produced through a collaboration with the Chinese manufacturer QJ Motor. Technically, the machines share close ties with Benelli models, as QJ Motor controls the Italian brand. Unlike traditional Harley-Davidson motorcycles that typically feature V-twin engines, the X 350 and X 500 utilize liquid-cooled parallel-twin engines.
While these specific models are being withdrawn from Japan following limited commercial success, Harley-Davidson indicated it has not abandoned the goal of offering more accessible motorcycles to reach a new generation of riders.
