Harley Reid praised for toughness in West Coast loss to Collingwood

West Coast Eagles midfielder Harley Reid earned praise for his resilience after playing through a corked quad during a match against Collingwood. Despite being hobbled early by a heavy hit, the 21-year-old helped the Eagles reduce a 34-point deficit to within 10 points in the final quarter. Although Collingwood ultimately won the game 117 to 98, Eagles coach Andrew McQualter described Reid's performance as "a huge step forward," noting his ability to continue contesting despite the injury.

Veteran Elliot Yeo also showed strong form, recording 28 disposals, 11 clearances, and a goal. This performance follows a recent improvement in his play after a difficult four-game stretch. The loss marks West Coast's ninth consecutive defeat, bringing their season record to 4-17.
