Harlow family sets Guinness World Record with five generations born on same day
A family in the United States has set a new Guinness World Record after five consecutive generations were born on the same day. The streak, which began with patriarch Wilber Harlow on September 14, 1907, was officially confirmed following the birth of Arthur Bell on September 14, 2025, in Silver City, Iowa.
The lineage of shared birthdays includes Wilber Harlow (1907), his daughter Addie Harlow (1927), his grandson Fred Harlow (1950), his great-granddaughter Emma Bell (1986), and finally Arthur Bell.
Before this achievement, several families held a shared record for four consecutive generations born on the same date. The birth of Arthur Bell has broken that tie, placing the Harlow/Bell lineage in sole possession of the record.
