Harmankaya Canyon attracts stargazers with zero light pollution

Harmankaya Canyon Nature Park in the Yenipazar district of Bilecik has become a destination for nature enthusiasts and stargazers due to its zero light pollution and certified dark sky. Following investments by the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, the area has seen increased interest from visitors across approximately 45 different provinces.

The canyon supports various activities, including camping, caravanning, picnics, and bird watching. Located 7 kilometers from Yenipazar and within 30 kilometers of Eskişehir, the site is noted for its ability to provide clear night observations. Local operator Mehmet Şimşek stated that the region's tourism potential could increase further as remaining infrastructure needs are addressed.
