With this performance, Kaur has become the Indian batter to record the highest individual score in a women's T20 International match played on Indian soil, surpassing the previous record of 80 runs held by Smriti Mandhana.
Following her recent departure from the captaincy role, which was handed to Smriti Mandhana, Kaur stated that she feels less pressure and is now focused on enjoying her batting. She credited batting coach Himanshu for her improved form, noting that intensive practice on bat swing and simulating match pressure in the nets contributed to her success.
