Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance updates Xiaoyi AI assistant
Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance has released a September Over-the-Air (OTA) update for its Xiaoyi in-car AI assistant, focusing on enhancing cockpit entertainment and conversational intelligence.
The update introduces several generative AI and multimedia features. Users can now use “one-sentence image generation” to create custom wallpapers based on descriptive prompts. The “Xiaoyi Search” feature has been upgraded to support fuzzy and colloquial descriptions, allowing users to find specific movie scenes or content across platforms like iQIYI and Bilibili. Additionally, the new “Xiaoyi Channel” provides curated news and AI-generated podcasts to assist during long drives.
On the functional side, the assistant’s conversational capabilities have been improved to better handle natural speech patterns, such as pauses or mid-sentence corrections. Navigation and vehicle control have also been optimized; the system can now process complex multi-stop route requests and respond to vague environmental commands, such as “it’s too hot,” to adjust climate settings. The update is currently being rolled out to models including the Shangjie Z7 and Z7T, with broader availability expected to follow.
