Harris County teen arrested for August murder of 17-year-old

A 14-year-old has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the August death of 17-year-old Tavian Soileau in Harris County, Texas. The incident occurred on August 22 near Hidden Meadow Park, specifically near the intersection of Tyneglen Lane and Montclair Bend Lane.

Authorities reported that a 911 caller discovered Soileau unconscious in a vehicle with signs of severe trauma. Following a scene investigation, the suspect was taken into custody and moved to the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center. The motive for the killing has not been released, and the identity of the 14-year-old remains undisclosed.

The arrest follows a recent surge in teen-related gun violence in the Houston area, including two other deadly shootings involving teenagers earlier in the same week.
