Greece political polls show New Democracy lead and rising cost of living concerns

Recent opinion polls from GPO and Opinion Poll indicate that the New Democracy (ND) party maintains a significant lead in Greece. In national estimates, ND holds approximately 29.4% of the vote, followed by the Hellenic Left Synergy (ELAS) at 15.7% and PASOK at 13.1%. In the Attica region, ND shows an even stronger presence, with vote estimates reaching 31.5%.

Across different metrics, Kyriakos Mitsotakis remains the most suitable candidate for Prime Minister, holding roughly 30% support. Meanwhile, the polls highlight a major social issue: the cost of living. Approximately 64% to 66% of citizens identify inflation and high living costs as their primary concern, with 74.8% of respondents in Attica expressing dissatisfaction with government measures to curb rising prices.

In terms of government structure, roughly 47.8% of citizens favor a single-party majority government, while 45.7% prefer a coalition government. The polls also note a significant decline for SYRIZA, which is polling below the threshold required to enter Parliament in several regional and national estimates.
