Harris Theocharis visits Cyprus to boost economic diplomacy

Greek Deputy Foreign Minister for Extroversion and Economic Diplomacy, Harris Theocharis, conducted a two-day visit to Cyprus on September 14-15, 2026, to strengthen bilateral economic ties and investment cooperation.

During the visit, Theocharis held high-level meetings with several Cypriot officials, including Minister of Energy, Commerce, and Industry Michalis Damianos and Minister of Foreign Affairs Constantinos Kombos. He also met with the leadership of Invest Cyprus to discuss attracting new investments and leveraging collaborative opportunities.

Engagement with the business community was a central component of the mission. Theocharis met with the President of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Stavros Stavrou, and the President of the Cyprus-Greece Business Association, Iosif Iosif. The mission aimed to transition from general cooperation to concrete projects and joint initiatives designed to create jobs and foster economic growth in both nations.
