Harrison Butker faces scrutiny following Chiefs loss to Seahawks

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker struggled during the team’s 20-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football. Butker went 1-for-3 on field goal attempts, missing a 58-yard attempt before halftime and a 45-yard attempt late in the game. This performance follows a recent game against the Los Angeles Chargers where he missed an extra point and a field goal.

Head coach Andy Reid acknowledged the decline, stating, “He’s been one of the most consistent kickers in football. He’s off a bit, so gotta fix it.” Statistics show Butker has converted only two of six field goals from beyond 50 yards this season.

Media commentary has also surfaced regarding Butker’s performance. Analyst Nick Wright suggested that Butker’s recent decline coincides with his increased involvement in political activism and business ventures, including the launch of a conservative political action committee and a menswear brand.
