Harrison Ford preserves 157 hectares of Wyoming ranch for biodiversity
Actor Harrison Ford has maintained conservation measures on approximately 157 hectares of his property in Wyoming to protect local biodiversity. The initiative, which began in the 1980s, limits urban development on nearly half of his ranch to preserve habitats for various wild species.
Ford acquired the property, located in Jackson Hole near the Snake River and the Teton Mountains, alongside his former wife, screenwriter Melissa Mathison. The actor has spent decades limiting construction on the land to maintain the natural environment of the region.
