Harry Brook signals potential return to IPL

England white-ball captain Harry Brook has indicated he may reconsider his previous stance on participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL). While Brook has recently emphasized a commitment to England cricket and The Hundred, he acknowledged the merits of the Indian league, describing it as a ‘great competition’ that helps players improve.

Brook’s relationship with the IPL has been complicated by recent withdrawals. After being selected by Delhi Capitals in the 2025 mega auction, he opted out of the tournament. Following a previous withdrawal from the 2024 season due to a family bereavement, Brook is currently serving a ban under BCCI rules that renders him ineligible for the 2026 auction. His eligibility to participate in the league is expected to resume in 2027.
