Harry Enten warns of Democratic turnout surge ahead of midterms

CNN political analyst Harry Enten has issued a warning regarding Democratic voter turnout ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. According to Enten, over 25 million Democratic voters have participated in primary elections so far, surpassing the 23 million recorded in 2018.

Enten noted that this high turnout is a significant indicator, observing that the party with higher primary turnout has won control of the House of Representatives in every election since 2006. He suggested that the current numbers reflect a challenging political environment for the Trump administration, stating that the high Democratic engagement is 'emblematic of a president of the United States who is deeply underwater.'

Currently, Republicans maintain a slight lead in both the House and the Senate, with seat counts of 219-212 and 53-47, respectively.
