Harry Kane wins 2026 Ballon d’Or in London FAST-MOVING

Harry Kane has been awarded the 2026 Ballon d’Or, becoming the first English player to receive the prestigious honor since Michael Owen in 2001. The 33-year-old Bayern Munich striker and England captain received the award during a ceremony at the London Palladium.

Kane’s victory follows a prolific 2025-26 season in which he scored 73 goals and provided eight assists in 65 appearances for both club and country. His performances helped Bayern Munich secure the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal, while leading England to a third-place finish at the 2026 World Cup.

In the men’s category, Kane finished ahead of Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid, who took second place, and Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, who finished third. Other top finishers included Rodri and Lionel Messi. Kane also received the Gerd Müller Trophy for being the season’s top scorer.

In the women’s category, Alexia Putellas won her third Ballon d’Or, equaling the record for most wins in the category. Other notable winners included Lamine Yamal as the Men’s Young Talent of the Year, Vicky López for the women’s equivalent, and Unai Simón and Cata Coll for the Yachine Trophy.
