Harry Potter film production details and deleted scenes revealed

Production details from the ‘Harry Potter’ film franchise have revealed several discrepancies between the books and the cinematic adaptations. While the character Harry Potter is described in J. K. Rowling’s novels as having green eyes inherited from his mother, Daniel Radcliffe has naturally blue eyes. Attempts to use green contact lenses failed when the actor suffered an allergic reaction, causing his eyes to swell and turn red during filming.

Additionally, several filmed scenes were ultimately cut from the final theatrical releases. This includes the character Peeves the Poltergeist, played by Rik Mayall, who was intended to appear in the first film but was entirely removed. Other deleted footage includes a more emotional farewell between Dudley Dursley and Harry Potter in ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1’, which provided more depth to Dudley’s character than what appeared in the final cut.
