Harry Potter Official Storyboard Art Book released in Japan

Kawade Shobo Shinsha has released the ‘Harry Potter Film Series Official Storyboard Art Book’ in Japan. This comprehensive collection covers all eight films in the series, spanning from the initial meeting of Harry and Hagrid in ‘The Sorcerer’s Stone’ to the ‘19 Years Later’ finale in ‘The Deathly Hallows Part 2’.

The book features over 2,200 storyboard images selected from approximately 100 iconic scenes, including locations such as Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, and Privet Drive. It provides a behind-the-scenes look at the visual development of the wizarding world, including unused ideas and storyboards for scenes that were not filmed, such as the appearance of Peeves the Poltergeist.

In addition to the artwork, the volume includes commentary from directors, production staff, and cast members, such as Daniel Radcliffe. It also contains production anecdotes, such as the use of reverse filming for specific action sequences. The book is available at a special promotional price until January 31, 2027.
