Harry Souttar Linked with Multiple Championship Clubs as Leicester Plans Exit
Australian centre‑back Harry Souttar, 27, is attracting interest from several English Championship sides after his return from the 2022 World Cup. Despite missing the 2025 league season with a ruptured Achilles tendon, Souttar played every minute of Australia’s World Cup matches and led the tournament in aerial duels.
Leicester City, now relegated to League One, are expected to sell the £15 million defender, who is under contract until 2028. Reported suitors include West Ham United, who themselves face a drop to the Championship, as well as Stoke City, Sheffield United and Wrexham. The clubs view Souttar as a proven defender who could strengthen their back lines, while Leicester looks to recoup part of the fee paid for him.
