Harry Styles tour boosts Sydney and Melbourne hotel bookings
The upcoming ‘Together, Together’ world tour by Harry Styles has triggered a significant surge in hotel demand across Australia. Data from the hotel commerce platform SiteMinder indicates that hotel bookings in Sydney and Melbourne for the concert dates have increased by up to 30 per cent year-on-year.
Room rates have also seen a notable rise, climbing by as much as 25 per cent. Sydney hotels experienced the most substantial impact, with average nightly rates increasing by $127 compared to the same period in 2025, while Melbourne rates rose by $36 per night.
The announcement of the tour dates on 23 January 2026 resulted in the highest single day of hotel bookings during the tracking period. On both pre-sale and general sale days, booking volumes for concert nights reached between 100 and 150 times the normal daily volume.
Travel patterns suggest fans are booking accommodation five to six weeks earlier than in previous years, though the average length of stay has decreased by up to 10 per cent, a trend consistent with ‘gig-tripping’ for major musical events.
