Harsh Sanghavi holds public grievance programme in Surat
Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi held a ‘Jan Sampark’ public outreach programme at the Surat Circuit House to address resident grievances and administrative issues. During the event, Sanghavi met with citizens individually to hear concerns regarding local development and administrative matters, directing senior officials to take immediate action to resolve issues without requiring repeated visits from the public.
In addition to the grievance session, Sanghavi inaugurated a Seva Setu programme at Althan Community Hall under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a joint initiative by the district administration and the Surat Municipal Corporation. This programme provided various essential services, including the issuance of income, caste, and non-creamy layer certificates, widow assistance, and ration card services. The Health Department also facilitated the free issuance of Ayushman Bharat cards and processed e-KYC applications on-site.
During his visit, Sanghavi also met with Alkaben Mali, a local flower seller who recently recovered lifetime savings after the Surat Rural Police resolved a theft case involving gold jewellery worth Rs 14.28 lakh. The suspects were apprehended in Maharashtra, and the equivalent cash value was returned to the victim.
