Gaur, who plays Dimpy Pandit, noted that her character has evolved significantly over eight years, transitioning from a sheltered individual to one shaped by the family's violent upheavals. She emphasized that Dimpy’s strength lies in her refusal to succumb to the toxicity and violence surrounding her.

In a separate discussion regarding career choices, actress Dia Mirza reflected on her decision to take a supporting role in the film Parineeta. Despite facing questions about why she would participate in a project that served as a launching vehicle for Vidya Balan, Mirza stated she chose the role to work with esteemed filmmakers and because she viewed Balan as an extraordinary talent.
