Haruna Kawaguchi and Mari Hoshino attend film preview in Tokyo

Actors Haruna Kawaguchi and Mari Hoshino attended a preview event in Tokyo for the upcoming film ‘Mama ga Mou Kono Sekai ni Inakutemo Watashi no Inochi no Nikki’ (scheduled for release on October 2). The film is based on the memoirs of Kazu Endo, who faced stage IV colorectal cancer and passed away at age 24.

Haruna Kawaguchi, making her first public appearance following her marriage to soccer player Ko Itakura and her pregnancy announcement, spoke about the strength of family bonds depicted in the film. She noted that playing the protagonist helped her reflect on the power of family and the courage required to face difficult decisions.

Mari Hoshino, who portrays the protagonist's physician, shared how the role provided a new perspective on her personal life. Hoshino, whose daughter lives with a rare muscular disease, mentioned that playing a doctor allowed her to empathize with medical professionals from their own standpoint, describing the experience as a realization of mutual support between people.
