Collegiate cross country teams compete in Massachusetts season openers

Collegiate cross country teams competed in season-opening events at the Mark Coogan course in Attleboro, Massachusetts.

At the Suffolk Short Course Classic, the University of New Hampshire men's team secured a dominant victory, scoring 21 points to win the title. Gavin Malark led the Wildcats with a second-place finish, followed by teammates Matthew Allen, Joshua Twomey, Carson Fitzgerald, and Xavier Lemieux.

At the Friar Invitational, the Dartmouth men's team finished third in the 6K race. Connor Foley led the team with a 14th-place finish, followed by Noe Kemper and Callahan Fielder.

Harvard University also competed at the Friar Invitational, where the men's team placed fifth in the 6K race, led by sophomore Brady Mullen's fifth-place finish. The Harvard women's team finished ninth in the 4K race, with first-year Aelo Curtis leading the scoring efforts in 34th place.
