Harvard Business School introduces AI professor avatars
Harvard Business School has integrated artificial intelligence avatars of seven professors into a training program for entrepreneurs. These digital replicas, developed using technology from HeyGen, reproduce the image and voice of the academics to facilitate interactive learning without requiring the professors to be present.
As part of the HBS Foundry platform, the avatars allow participants to simulate real-world business scenarios, such as practicing investor pitches via video call or conducting mock board meetings. The AI listens to the user, asks business-related questions, and provides feedback to correct errors. The eight-week program, which costs $699, is designed to help individuals develop projects and prepare for common business challenges through AI tools, individual exercises, and live specialist sessions.
