Harvard Study Finds 90‑120 Minutes of Weekly Strength Training Cuts Mortality Risk
Researchers from Harvard's T.H. Chan School of Public Health analyzed data from 147,374 participants over a 30‑year period and concluded that 90 to 120 minutes of strength training each week is associated with a 13% lower risk of death from any cause, a 19% reduction in cardiovascular mortality, and a 27% reduction in neurological disease mortality. The benefit did not increase with more than 120 minutes per week, though adding aerobic activity amplified overall health gains.
Separately, television presenter Ana Pao Sifuentes posted a video of herself and her daughter Camila performing a joint gym workout, emphasizing the role of regular exercise in family well‑being.
