Harvest festival services held in Mumpf and Rottweil

Religious communities in Mumpf, Switzerland, and Rottweil, Luxembourg, held family services to celebrate the Harvest Festival (Erntedank).

In Mumpf, the service focused on the theme ‘We are the World – We carry the world, the world carries us,’ encouraging children to consider how small actions can help preserve the environment. A collection was dedicated to the Obermumpf nature conservation association. Following the service, a community gathering was held with food and refreshments, raising 600 CHF for the Aargauischer katholischer Frauenbund (AKF).

In Rottweil, the service at Heilig-Kreuz-Münster centered on the biblical story of the multiplication of loaves and fishes. Pastor Timo Weber emphasized the importance of sharing and how small gestures can have a significant impact on others. The service included musical accompaniment on a renovated organ and active participation from children through prayer and song.
