Harvest London launches vertical farm in Canary Wharf community hub
Harvest London has established a vertical farm within a community hub in Canary Wharf, integrating food production into a space that features restaurants, bars, coworking areas, and public seating. The project aims to create a direct connection between visitors and their food sources through an unexpected urban agricultural presence.
Supported by British Land and Broadwick via their Canada Water joint venture, the initiative is part of a broader ambition to transform the district into a major London destination, similar to the development seen in King's Cross over the last decade. Adam Abadi, operations manager at Harvest London, noted that the space was originally intended for a brewery, but the vertical farm was integrated to provide a unique community interaction.
