Harvest Midstream positions Kenai LNG as Alaska energy solution

Harvest Midstream is advancing its Kenai LNG facility as a near-term energy solution for Southcentral Alaska. The company is working to reactivate the existing facility as an LNG import terminal to meet anticipated natural gas needs in the Railbelt region. By repurposing existing infrastructure, the project aims to provide a cost-effective supply solution.

Additionally, the company’s North Slope LNG facility near Deadhorse is currently providing the first commercial deliveries of North Slope gas to the Interior Gas Utility. This project is expected to reduce emissions by up to 2,000 tons per year as more businesses and homes in the Interior transition from fuel oil or wood to natural gas.
