Harvey Elliott joins Valencia CF on loan from Liverpool

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott has joined Valencia CF on loan for the remainder of the season. The 23-year-old English player moves to the Spanish club to secure more regular playing time after struggling to find minutes in Liverpool's recent Premier League squads.

The loan agreement involves Liverpool covering a portion of Elliott's wages, and the deal includes no option or obligation for Valencia to purchase the player permanently. Elliott, who has a contract with Liverpool until 2028, aims to rebuild his form following a difficult loan spell at Aston Villa last season.

Upon his arrival, Elliott expressed high ambitions, setting a personal target of between 10 and 20 goals or assists. He also stated his desire to help return Valencia to European football, a feat the club has not achieved in over six years. He is expected to potentially make his debut this coming Sunday at Mestalla against FC Barcelona.
