Haryana ACB arrests actor Yashpal Sharma's brother for bribery

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Rajesh Kumar, an assistant revenue clerk in the irrigation department, for allegedly accepting a bribe in Hisar, Haryana. Kumar is identified as the brother of Bollywood actor Yashpal Sharma.

The arrest occurred after a complaint was filed regarding the processing of documents for a canal water connection (COO) for a colony developed on agricultural land near the Rajgarh-Chandigarh Highway. ACB officials reportedly caught Kumar red-handed while he was accepting 3,000 rupees.

Ghanshyam Sharma, the brother of actor Yashpal Sharma, has denied the allegations, claiming the money in question was a legitimate government fee for which receipts are issued. The ACB has registered a case under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act and has initiated an investigation into the transaction and related documents.
