Haryana and Jharkhand announce large recruitment lists for government posts
The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) released the list of candidates who passed the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) for Sub‑Inspector, Constable, Jail Warder and Forester positions. The Physical Efficiency Test (PST) is scheduled to begin on 24 July 2026, with the shortlisted candidates posted on the official HSSC website.
The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) issued a notification for the recruitment of 7,299 Assistant Teacher posts, covering both regular and backlog vacancies. Applications are open online from 31 July to 30 August 2026, with fee payment and document upload due by 1 September. Printed forms will be available from 3 September, and candidates can make corrections between 5‑7 September. The recruitment follows a Supreme Court directive to fill reserved para‑teacher positions, requiring candidates to pass the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JETET) and later the CTET or neighboring state TETs.
Both announcements aim to fill thousands of government teaching and policing positions across the two states, providing employment opportunities and addressing vacancy backlogs.
