Haryana appoints new district commissioners for Rohtak, Ambala
The Haryana state government issued orders transferring senior Indian Administrative Service officers and appointing new district commissioners. Pradeep Dahia, previously the Gurgaon municipal commissioner, was named the new District Commissioner (DC) of Rohtak. Sachin Gupta, who had been serving as DC of Rohtak, was transferred to become DC of Ambala. The reshuffle is part of a broader administrative reorganisation that moved 17 IAS officers and 7 Haryana Civil Service officers across various districts and ministries. Officials say the changes are intended to accelerate development projects, improve implementation of government schemes, and enhance law‑and‑order management. All transfers took effect immediately, with the chief secretary, Anurag Rastogi, directing the relevant departments to act accordingly.
