Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini and BJP MLAs to meet PM Modi

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, along with Haryana BJP President Archana Gupta and all state BJP MLAs, are scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The meeting is expected to focus on significant political and organizational issues concerning Haryana and neighboring states.

Key discussion points are expected to include preparations for upcoming elections in Punjab and addressing the political narrative surrounding the ‘Special Intensive Revision’ (SIR) of voter lists. The BJP is currently reviewing its organizational readiness and electoral strategies in states facing upcoming polls. The leadership may also discuss how state units should respond to opposition allegations regarding the SIR process.

The meeting occurs amid heightened tension, as the opposition ‘INDIA’ bloc has criticized the Election Commission of India and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the voter list revision. Additionally, the BJP has undergone organizational changes, with Smriti Irani taking over as the party's Haryana in-charge, replacing Satish Poonia.
