Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini promotes women's role in democracy

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini addressed the concluding ceremony of the ‘She Is a Change Maker’ programme in Faridabad, an initiative organized by the National Commission for Women. During the two-day workshop, Saini emphasized that women representatives are ‘architects of change’ rather than mere witnesses, noting that their active participation is essential for making democracy more inclusive, sensitive, and accountable.

The workshop hosted women MLAs and Legislative Council members from 20 states and two Union Territories. Sessions focused on strengthening legislative knowledge, leadership capabilities, communication skills, and effective policy-making. Saini commended the National Commission for Women and its Chairperson, Vijaya K. Rahatkar, for the initiative to enhance the role of elected women representatives in shaping the country's future.
