Haryana government launches 30-day road improvement challenge in Gurugram

The Haryana government has launched a 30-day challenge to improve 100 roads in Gurugram, with a deadline set for November 7. The initiative involves the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram, and the Haryana Urban Development Authority.

The project aims to go beyond simple pothole filling by addressing street lighting, lane markings, sidewalk reconstruction, and signage. Authorities also plan to clear garbage and debris from these areas. To ensure accountability, the government has introduced a reward system: citizens who report unresolved issues within the timeframe can receive 5,000 rupees, which will be deducted from the salaries of the responsible employees. Information boards featuring QR codes will be placed on the selected roads to provide citizens with project details.
