Haryana STF repatriates 27 gangsters from abroad since 2023

The Haryana Special Task Force (STF) has successfully repatriated 27 gangsters from foreign countries through deportation or extradition since August 2023. According to Director General of Police Ajay Singhal, 7 criminals were returned in 2025, and 14 have been brought back so far in 2026. One recent deportation involved an active criminal from the United Arab Emirates.

To bolster efforts against organized crime, the STF is considering a proposal to offer a reward of USD 10,000 for information leading to the capture of four wanted criminals currently hiding overseas. The task force is also working to facilitate the extradition of 12 other gangsters who have already been detained abroad.

Investigators are utilizing human and technical intelligence, including biometrics, fingerprint evidence, and the tracking of cryptocurrency and USDT channels, to dismantle criminal networks. Since August 2023, authorities have issued 144 Look-Out Circulars, 54 Red Corner Notices, and 53 Interpol References, while also cancelling 93 passports.
