Haryana wins 16th Junior Women's National Hockey Championship

Haryana won the 16th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship by defeating Jharkhand 2-1 in the final held at the Major Dhyanchand Hockey Stadium near Pune.

Jharkhand took an early lead in the 19th minute through Mundri Saroj. Haryana responded in the 23rd minute with a goal from Bhavya, leveling the score at halftime. Khushi secured the championship for Haryana by scoring the winning goal in the 42nd minute.

In the third-place playoff, Madhya Pradesh defeated Chhattisgarh 3-1 to claim the bronze medal. Kajal scored twice for Madhya Pradesh via penalty strokes, and Tanvi added a third goal to seal the victory.
